Lady Gaga has left the world in awe after her explosive Super Bowl, 2017 performance on the weekend. Lady Gaga is known for her brilliant stage performances – or just her performances overall – but this one definitely takes the cake. The Fame Monster took a large amount of time preparing for the Super Bowl as can be seen in various interviews before and after the Super Bowl performance. She went as far as to state that she had been training like an athlete for the event.
Her performance started off with a beautiful rendition of a USA anthem. Red and blue lights could be seen in the sky, craftily forming the flag of USA. She then jumped off of the edge (On the Edge of Glory?) of the stadium…she jumped off of the stadium. She compiled a mash-up of all of her famous hits, leaving her Fame Monsters wanting! Ivanka Trump, who was in attendance, even complimented Lady Gaga on her performance despite the subtle dig Lady Gaga took at Trump.
So we’ve determined Lady Gaga was amazing but let’s not forget her dancers and effects…OH yes…Taylor Swift also did a performance. Taylor performed in front of 9,000 people. Her set included “Blank Space,” “Shake It Off,” “Bad Blood,” “We Are Never Getting Back Together,” “I Knew You Were Trouble,” and others. A stunning performance of ‘I Don’t Want To Live Forever’ was unfortunately outshone by Lady Gaga. Taylor also announced that this performance would be one of her only performances this year (2017). An official video has not yet be en released but many fans of Taylor have uploaded their accounts of the performance on various social media sites.
