Demi Lovato is a known mental health advocate but she’s most definitely taken a step further with her latest gift to fans. Demi will be offering a helping hand to fans who attend her upcoming tour with free therapy. The CAST Foundation, which Demi co-owns, will be joining her on the road.
Demi explained that: “It will basically like a therapy session before the concerts. We’ll have speakers from all over and we’ll help out different charities around the country. I know how important it is to use my platform to help others. I just want people to know they’re not alone and I’m here for them.”
It’s not the first time Demi is offering similar services on a tour. She did something similar when she went on tour with Nick Jonas for Future Now Tour in 2016. Demi became a co-owner of The CAST Foundation after she attended rehab there and found that it had made a significant difference in her life. In 2011, after a rough period in her life, she was referred to the mental health and wellness treatment centre for help with depression, bulimia and substance abuse. Demi’s tour kicks-off on 26 February in San Diego, CA.
