Explore a new era of J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world.
In 1926, Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident, were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

There is definitely a lot of pressure on this movie to deliver. But, one thing is for sure, it has a solid foundation to build on. Lovers of the series Harry Potter either flocked to the cinemas on its opening or decided to give it a skip in fear that it wouldn’t in fact deliver. Teenzone decided to add this part to the regular synopsis to tell you that it DOES deliver. It’s starts off really sweet and ‘fluffy’ with all the magical creatures. Although this movie does not have the threatening Voldemort in it, it has its own dangers with its own villains. There is a humour element that was apparent in the other movies but more so in this prelude. If you are an avid Harry Potter fan then you will definitely pick up some interesting links to the series.
