Hailee Steinfeld has confirmed that she will indeed be releasing an album soon. She has been deep in the studio hammering out her second album and she noted that she had been doing a little experimenting. The experimenting will help her decide where she wants to go sonically in the future. She told Billboard that: “It’s crazy how it feels like I can say that I’m fully in album mode but there is still so much trial and error that I’m involved in. That’s the fun of it I guess. It’s a constant evolution [from the style on her 2015 debut release, Haiz].”
She didn’t say when exactly she will be releasing the album but her new track with BloodPop, Capital Letters, is out now. The song features on the new Fifty Shades Freed movie soundtrack. This isn’t the first we’ve heard of the Fifty Shades soundtrack, however. Rita Ora and Liam Payne were the first to release music for the movie. The two artists released For You on 5 January 2018.
Hailee also announced that she would be touring with Charlie Puth for a series of dates starting in Toronto, Canada (11 July): “I am very much looking forward to touring with Charlie! I think it’s going to be so much fun. And I really just can’t wait to get back out on the road again. It really is a lifestyle of its own and I’ve really only done it once. But I’m looking forward to making this the best show of mine so far. I can’t wait!”
