Last week Thursday, 24 November, LISOF`s 22nd Annual Fashion Show was held at The Tin Factory in Kramerville, showcasing amazing fashion design student talent.
Twenty Sixteen has been an interesting year in global affairs and this year the ranges give us insight into the past, present and future. The first year group collections are divided into two ranges: Urban Prairie and Industrial romance. The second year collections are inspired by top SA designer Marianne Fassler, called “African Contemporary Identity”. The third year, graduate collections are individual, depending on the students point of view. From menswear, to plus size and kiddies wear to avant-garde, the students worked feverishly to complete their ranges for the major event.
As with every year, external judges are appointed to select the Best of ranges. This year’s judges were: Thebe Magugu and Rich Mnisi, both LISOF Alumni and Elle Magazine’s, Ayanda Molefe.
