Meet new African Star Kamsee

Kamsee, a student of Trinity International College in Ofada, Nigeria, recently worked with SAMA Award winning South African pop production team Jax Panik on three compositions. Born to the family of Colonel Peter and Nkem Ekpenyong in Nigeria, Kamsee began exhibiting a strong creative flair and an amazing musical ability at age five when taught himself to play the piano.  At only 12 years of age, Kamsee has already performed in several major shows alongside major stars such as Whizkid, 2face Idibia and Stella Damasus.

Watch the ‘World Beats’ video now:

‘World Beats’ was written by Kamsee, with co-writing & production credits from acclaimed SA producer Jax Panik, the young star describes ‘World Beats’ as a call for “unity through music…”

The video was conceptualised and directed by South African director Justine Puren and produced by Bryony Webster. Puren’s idea was to capture a sense of both unique individualism and group unity by filming a variety of colourful dancing feet moved by the track ‘World Beats’.

The ‘World Beats’ video also contains a surprise for African music fans as the talented youngster is joined on screen by pan-african superstar D’banj. Most well known for his hit ‘Oliver Twist’, D’Banj recently visited South Africa for media interviews and paid a surprise visit to the set of ‘World Beats’. He was so impressed with both the track and concept that he decided to get in on the action: the result is a fantastic on screen chemistry between D’banj, K-Switch & Kamsee.
