Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall speak out against slut-shaming

In a cover interview with tmrw magazinePerrie Edwards and Jade Thirwall took down haters who criticize them for singing about sex. When asked about the sexual lyrics especially in their latest album Glory Days, Jade responded fittingly:

“We’re women who embrace our own sexuality. … If men are allowed to rap about it, then women are allowed to sing about it.”

Perrie explained in her own words:

“I think we’re maturing as women, our music isn’t going to be bubblegum forever, it is getting a bit more sexy. We’re never like ‘yeah give it to me!’ We’d never do an album just about sex, or an album just about dancing with a guy in a club. We’d never ever do that, we just touch on a subject — pardon the pun.”

This isn’t the first time Little Mix has spoken out against slut-shaming, good to know they haven’t changed their tune.
