To start off, Apple has upgraded the iPhone 4’s camera from a 5megapixel to a 8megapixel sensor, and the iPhone 4S will use the same dual-core A5 chip that the iPad 2 does. (thats really good!)
We already knew about iOS 5 and its features for a while, but the inclusion of the Siri voice software was a nice surprise. (You can actually tell your iPhone 4S what to do!)
The iPhone 4S is a good phone that has become even better, but I certainly wouldn’t call it the best phone! And neither did the “Apple team”.
The iPhone 4S has an identical design to the iPhone 4, but its “engine” is all new. It’s still the thinnest and best looking smartphone available and it has a stylish, premium look, that is available in Black and White.
Apple says that the new iPhone’s 8-megapixel camera is built around a backside-illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor, a type of low light optimised sensor that made its debut in Sony’s cameras a few years ago. BSI sensors are now fairly commonplace in CMOS-based cameras, including both stand alone cameras and a growing number of camera phones. Apple also says the iPhone 4S has a five-element lens that offers plus-minus 30 percent more sharpness.
Like many dual-core Android phones currently available, the iPhone 4S can shoot high-resolution video. It also features digital video stabilisation, but unless it’s a radically different system than we’ve seen on other video devices, don’t expect miracles from digital-only stabilisation!
Perhaps the feature I’m most exited and amazed by is the rumored Siri voice command software. It isn’t a new feature in smart phones, but the Siri voice command software seems so tightly integrated that it almost really seems too good to be true! The best interaction a person can have with a device and / or phone is your voice. You can talk to it, and it talks back! (amazed!) 😀
Rumors say that the iPhone 5 will be introduced early November, so you can keep checking out our website teenzonemagazine.co.za for the latest news about the Apple iPhone 5!
