Ways to beat the blues

When I feel down, I tend to sit there and wallow in my sadness and wait till it passes. It gets so bad sometimes that I close myself off from everyone, and just want to be by myself. I sort through my emotions by myself. I don’t vent to anyone, I write about my feelings my journal, and leave them there. Recently, I was thinking of ways to improve my moods by doing things that are fun and that will distract me from feeling down, and to turn my mood into a positive one. Here is what I have come up with, have tried and by my amazement doing these little things, helped in a major way. Here is how to beat the blues:

I have made progress by becoming more self-aware, practicing self-love, and noticing the infinite blessings and possibilities in my life, by just doing things for myself that make me happy. I still have days when the down feeling comes, and nothing helps me look at the positive side of things. I just wait till it passes and carry on with my life.
