The Right is Yours, and so is the Responsibility!

We cannot always build the future for the youth, but we can build our youth for the future. -Franklin D.Roosevelt

Human Rights Month is commemorated in March to remind South Africans about the sacrifices that accompanied the struggle for the attainment of democracy in South Africa. Human Rights Day on 21 March falls within this period.

The world keeps changing as more people gain access to information faster than ever. The possibilities are exciting, young people are able to create opportunities for themselves-with the youth able to lead this, with a natural understanding of how to be included and lead from the front. It is important for adults to recognize that young people are assuming more responsibility than ever before. They are doing this by improving schools, health the environment, promoting positive community development, challenging apathy and promoting civic action like no other generation.

Now the question is as a young person Wenzani not only to make the best out of yourself but to make the world a better place for us all and the future generations?

The solution of adult problems tomorrow depends in large measure upon the way our children grow up today. There is no greater insight into the future than recognizing that, when we save children, we save ourselves. -Margaret Mead

This challenge is aimed at all young people in South Africa, you need to raise up and start creating your own opportunities, shape the world into what you view as a better future. It is time to stop singing an old tune, stop waiting for the older generations. And take ownership of your tomorrow.

Young person stop saying Senzeni na? And start saying Senzani na? Because the future of your country depends on what you do today. #Wenazani

Rise up young person, it’s all up to you.
