Marilyn Monroe was Hugh Hefner‘s muse for his first edition of Playboy magazine so it seems fitting that he will be laid to rest next to the famous beauty. Hefner apparently forked out $75,000 for a crypt next to the actress and model. According to TMZ , the 91-year-old publishing magnate owns the spot to the left of Marilyn’s at the Westwood Village Memorial Park, Los Angeles.
Back in 1953 Hef used an old set of the model’s to launch his very fist issue of Playboy, which he had put together in his kitchen in Chicago. He’s not the only man captivated by Marilyn to have bough a crypt next to her, as the actress’ ex-husband Joe DiMaggio used to own the crypt above hers, however, he sold it when they got divorced in 1954.
