Well, that didn’t take too long. Moments after publishing Katy Perry’s music video trailer for her single Swish Swish the official music video for the track was posted. There is just sooooo much going on in this music video. One thing we know for sure is that there is some kind of basketball game is being played by the ‘Tigers’ and ‘Sheep’ teams respectively.
If you were going to look for meaning in the video, it’s clear that Katy Perry considers herself a tiger and not a sheep. A sheep is often referred to as having a flock-mentality, where the flock goes, they go. Perhaps this is the extended metaphor for this music video OR perhaps its along the lines of a wolf in sheep’s clothing. This saying usually refers to someone who appears innocent but it nothing like what they appear.
Some Katy Perry fans are speculating that this music video is aimed at Taylor Swift. There is a general idea in Hollywood that Taylor isn’t as innocent as she seems. Perhaps she is the wolf in sheep’s clothing? Also, let’s analyse the track’s name: Swish Swish. It’s clearly a made-up word but must have roots of some sort. Is it a coincidence that the first three letters of the word are the same as in Swift? Again with coincidences.
