We’re almost a week into lockdown and the reality of COVID-19 is really hitting home for many of us. A bit of extra time off school sounded magnificent initially, but now another two weeks of not seeing our friends, escaping our parents or moving outside of the confines of our homes is looming and to put it politely, it sucks.
But it doesn’t need to! Over the next few weeks with TeenZone, we’ll be posting lots of activities, competitions and fun stuff to keep you going. We’ll also be putting out some recommendations for free resources being offered by other platforms during this time, so that you can keep yourself occupied and keep those brilliant brains ticking over.
In other news, importantly, we will be launching a mental health area on our site (under MeZone), which we will fill with content for you. The content was originally designed to be part of a guide, and the guide will come out in the next few weeks, but in our current isolation situation, we know how fragile our mental health can become so we wanted to get as much info as possible to you, as quickly as possible! In this section you will find everything you could want to know about mental health and how you can maintain and improve it. It will be filled with challenges and activities and will give you the opportunity to ask questions for yourself, or about friends or family members that you are particularly worried about.
So, what are you waiting for? Fasten your seatbelts, and get ready to go on an – admittedly very metaphorical – journey with TeenZone during lockdown…
